Summary To establish, develop and maintain exclusive institutional client relationships through the provision of exceptional financial services, through active promotion of the Capital Market products.

 

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:


B.Sc., Business Administration, Economics, Finance or any other related field.

Securities Certification.

Licensed by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) or a suitable candidate for licensing.

Minimum of three (3) years’ sales and business development experience in the financial services industry.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Contribute to the revenue generation target of the Capital Market Unit and Victoria Mutual Investments Limited through concentrated and focused business development activities including networking, cold-calling, prospecting.

Establish a sales plan and deliver the plan through proven business acquisition and client relationship building skills.

Assist Business Development in closing deals by bringing detailed product know how.

Assist in the structuring of credit facilities (indicative/final term sheets, credit committee approval, loan documentation)

Build and maintaina profitable client base through active prospecting and relationship management, ensuring timely and constant communication is maintained at all times.

Organise the new account opening process, ensuring all requisite documents are received and completed appropriately, and the accounts are set up and verified in keeping with the company’s established procedures.

Report on sales progress, new business development and obstacles to performance at the appropriate meetings.

Prepare and deliver Presentations to prospects and clients, assessing the results and conducting follow-ups as necessary.

Attend Expositions, media/PR and Business Development events to promote the company and its products and services to the public.

Assess the impact of business development events attended, monitoring the number of leads generated, qualified and converted and the value of business derived from the respective activities by the team.

Inform clients of existing promotions, events, happenings, etc. and actively seeks to get information required for participation.

Ensure clients’ data are current at all times, ensuing the necessary updates are made where required, in compliance with the company’s KYC policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:


Proven business development skills and strong sales orientation with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Strong understanding of corporate finance.

Sound knowledge of the applicable laws governing the financial services industry.

Intimate knowledge of the local financial market operations

Sound presentation skills

Strong negotiating skills

Strong financial analysis skills with strong sense of risk management

Proven ability to be agile, responsive and flexible

Thorough knowledge of the Jamaican Securities market

Knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Word Suite
