Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:



    • Part Time (20 hours per week)

Duties

 

Responsible for creating and publishing the Dr. Bird Newsletter for the Embassy, as well as assisting the Community Liaison Office Coordinator in the development and management of post programs to maintain morale of community members.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Must have two years of clerical or related experience.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Must have working knowledge of general office procedures.  Must be familiar with publishing layout and design features; standard English grammar and punctuation rules. Basic familiarity with local and national culture practices of the host country as well as with the practices of the US Government.

Education Requirements:

Completion of high school with at least two years of university studies required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Fluent English Language is required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Must know the Microsoft Office Suite of products and Desktop Publishing software and be able to produce a print ready newsletter. Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.  Must have the ability to establish priorities and organize a large amount of varied information.  The incumbent must be able to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
