THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REQUIRES A MANAGER - HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

Job Summary:
The incumbent has responsibility for providing leadership in developing and executing human resource development strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the Corporation. In collaboration with the Director Human Resource Management the incumbent will translate the developmental needs of the UDC into training and development plans, lead the implementation of these plans and monitor for results. The incumbent will manage the team to implement learning and development across the Corporation and will lead in the development of partnerships with external government agencies and service providers towards the implementation of specific interventions and learning solutions.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
• A Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management with specialization in Learning and Development or Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Development
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a senior practitioner in corporate training/learning and development in a large public or private sector organization
• Excellent knowledge of Human Resource Development functions, including Succession Planning, Talent Management, Change Management, and Performance Management
• Excellent knowledge of Human Resource Planning methods
• Working Knowledge of relevant computer applications, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite

• Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team oriented environment
• Ability to strategically and tactically evaluate and implement HRD related programmes and initiatives

• Ability to complete projects within specific timeframes
• Excellent Time Management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
