THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REQUIRES AN ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager has overall responsibility for oversight of the functions of the Payables Unit and the Compliance Unit; management of inventory controls; oversight and support of Subsidiaries’ financial and management reporting.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

• A first degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Pursuing ACCA Level 3 would be an advantage
• Minimum of five (5) year’ experience in financial accounting at a middle management or senior level with a medium or large organization
• Experience in implementing management control system
• Working knowledge of Financial Systems – General Ledger, Financial Reporting
• Knowledge of computer applications with proficiency in Word and Excel
• Sound knowledge of management accounting systems, policies and procedures

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques

• Ability to interpret financial statements and management reports
• Well-developed analytical, supervisory and personal/human relations skills
• Sound administrative and organizational skills
