Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions within the Surveys & Mapping Division, National Land Agency.



The successful candidate will report to the Chief Surveyor (Cadastral Mapping).

Job Purpose

To conduct topographic and hydrographic surveys and to undertake surveys for small boundaries and subdivision of lands and establishes survey control network island-wide.


Key Responsibilities

 Managing/Administrative Responsibilities

  • Recruits casual labour required on assignment
  • Assists in identifying accommodation for work team during out-of-town assignment


Technical/Professional Responsibilities

  • Assists in making investigations at government agencies/departments to locate  information needed for the preparation of survey assignments
  • Assists in the preparation and amendment of plans
  • Undertakes checking and comparing work for Plan Examination
  • Prepares estimate for the execution of assignment for approval of Supervisor
  • Prepares and distributes pre-assignment instructions to clients
  • Leads team, selected by Supervisor, in the execution of field work
  • Prepares post-assignment computations for processing and preparing of maps and plans
  • Prepares actual expenditure and technical report of assignment                                                                                                                                                               

Other Responsibilities:

  • Keeps abreast of trends and changes in surveying
  • Performs other related duties assigned from time to time by the Chief Surveyor

Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • BSc.  in Land Surveying or equivalent qualification

Remuneration Package:

  • Salary Range:  $1,422,229.00-$1,531,715.00 p.a.
  • Motor Vehicle Travel Allowance: $894,924.00 p.a. (If you own a motor vehicle
