Job Description: 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position within the Land Valuation Division, National Land Agency. 


The successful candidates will report to the Director/Commissioner of Land Valuations.

Job Purpose:

To oversee the Registry (Records Management) and Data Entry functions of Land Valuation Division and to assist with the management of the administrative functions of the Division.

Key Responsibilities:

Management/Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assists the Office of the Commissioner of Land Valuations with the management of the administrative functions of the Division.
  • Reviews and updates procedures of the Valuation Services Unit and ensures implementation and compliance with rules and procedures
  • Conducts performance reviews in accordance with PMAS guidelines
  • Demonstrates leadership through coaching, monitoring, delegation and communication
  • Assists with the selection of staff for the Unit
  • Evaluates operational objectives and recommends proposals (inclusive of personal and equipment) for the efficient operation of Unit.

Technical/Professional Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day to day operations of the Data Entry and Valuation Roll Units
  • Prepares the monthly Operations and Corporate Plan reports
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual Divisional budget
  • Monitors and executes regional recurrent and capital expenditure requests from Divisional Regions & Units                                                              
  • Ensures the delivery and assignment of equipment purchases
  • Maintains an up-to-date register of receivables and payables relating to Ad Hoc Valuations
  • Manages the issuance of Certificates of Valuation pertaining to proposed sub-divisions.
  • Oversees all project related activities in the Valuation Services Unit
  • Ensures the safe custody and easy retrieval of all records


Other Responsibilities

  • Performs other related duties assigned from time to time by the Director

Minimum Required Education and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Project Management, Management Studies/Public Administration or equivalent qualifications
  • At least four (4) years related experience, of which two (2) years must be at a supervisory level
  • Certificate in Supervisory Management


  • A certificate or higher qualification in Project Management
  • Knowledge of database systems

Remuneration Package:

Salary: $2,152,688.00 - $2,305.21

Motor Vehicle Travel Allowance: $707,448.00 p.a.
